Washington's Read-A-Thon was a HUGE success!! We love to see our Wildcats taking time to read. Not only is important for children's brain development, it provides access to adventures into new worlds!
Congrats to Mrs. Vencill's 1st graders for the most funds raised, as a class!
And congrats to Mrs. Schulz' 5th graders for the most minutes read, as a class! Cue the bragging rights!! 📚⏱️💵📚

Mrs. Stine and Mr. Ferguson's Kindergarteners read "Stone Soup" during their Knowledge lesson today. The story was so good, they had to make their own stone soup. The verdict is in: huge success!! It's a great day to be a Wildcat!

Mark your Calendars... Next week is our Music Program.

From the desk of Washington's HAL Teacher, Mrs. McIntosh:
Today, our HAL students had the opportunity to “Design Your Future”. They worked with KUBO Robots, Problem-Solving Games, Stop Motion Video, Innovator Kits, and OzBots. There were guest speakers from the high school and Bridge of Hope. We are partnering with Bridge of Hope to collect donations for our community service project. Be on the lookout for more information on how you can support your local HAL students. I am so proud of all their hard work and positive attitudes.
