Mrs. McIntosh took Washington's HAL students on quite the field trip yesterday. Students learned about "Stopping Time" (strobe lights & stop motion photography), spent time in the "Explorit Zones", perused Doc Edgerton images, enjoyed the "Go Show" (Newton's laws explained), and wrapped it all up with a BIG bang finale! A whole lot of learning and a whole lot of FUN!

🔥🚸 Practice makes prepared! 🚸🔥
Today Washington successfully completed a fire drill, immediately followed by an evacuation drill to the high school. We practice so we are prepared!
A huge thank you to our staff for expertly facilitating both drills and to our students for following protocol and using their listening skills. Those are the skills that keep everyone safe.
We use the Standard Response Protocol. Drills like these help ensure that students and staff know exactly what to do, no matter the situation.
Thank you to our school community for partnering with us to keep every student safe!
