Mrs. Osborn's 5th grade class used two weekly stories in our Journeys textbook to create a timeline of important events in the creation of our government. They worked in pairs and had lots of fun adding relevant pictures using padlet to add visual elements to their American Revolutionary timelines.

November is National Entrepreneurship Month, and Nebraska 4-H is celebrating by providing a tool-kit of free resources to teachers, after school programs, and youth serving organizations in Nebraska! We need school administrators’ help getting these resources to the right people! This tool-kit is geared toward students in grades 3-8. Our tool-kit includes: A calendar with fun, easy activities to use as bell-ringers, energizers, and simple ways to engage your students in entrepreneurial thinking. Lesson plans that are designed to introduce your student to entrepreneurship and build an entrepreneurial mindset by developing their non-cognitive skills (i.e., empathy, persistence, proactivity, analysis, motivation, and risk-taking). These lesson plans align with the National Content Standards for Entrepreneurship. Virtual field trips to connect your students to real people working as entrepreneurs. The Spark to Start Activity Book, containing activities, games, puzzles, and more, which helps your students learn about starting a business. And an Entrepreneurship Goosechase add-on, a fun interactive experience with missions based on the Spark to Start Activity Book. Free curriculum and resources from our partner, VentureLab that fosters an entrepreneurial mindset in all students grades K-12. We hope that you will join Nebraska 4-H in celebrating National Entrepreneurship Month. To access the resources tool-kit, visit http://go.unl.edu/21e-shipmonth. If you have any questions or comments, please reach out to me or any member of the Youth Entrepreneurship and Business Opportunities Team through Nebraska Extension.
