Today we are celebrating one of the very best—Mrs. Hayes! 💙💛

Mrs. Hayes is so much more than our school librarian. She creates a welcoming space where students feel excited to explore, learn, and fall in love with reading. From helping students find the perfect book to supporting teachers and bringing learning to life in the library, she does it all with kindness, patience, and a smile.

We are so lucky to have Mrs. Hayes at Lincoln Elementary. Thank you for everything you do to support our students and staff—you truly make a difference every single day!

Whether they are working one-on-one with students, helping in classrooms, or lending a hand wherever needed, they make a HUGE difference in our school.

Their kindness, patience, and dedication help our students learn, grow, and feel supported—and we are so grateful for each and every one of them!

This Friday, March 20th, we’re celebrating World Down Syndrome Day by rocking our craziest, most colorful socks!

Students and staff are encouraged to wear mismatched, bright, and FUN socks to show support, celebrate differences, and promote inclusion for all.

Why socks? Chromosomes are shaped like socks, and individuals with Down syndrome have an extra chromosome—so we “rock our socks” to raise awareness!

Let’s make it a fun and meaningful day at Lincoln Elementary! 💙💛
Be bold. Be kind. ROCK YOUR SOCKS! 🧦✨

Our 3rd graders dove into hands-on science as they learned about fish adaptations! 🐟

Students explored how different features help fish survive in their environments, then used clay to design and create their own fish models. Great work, 3rd-grade scientists!

Mrs. Kammerer’s 5th-grade music class has been hard at work developing their sense of beat in a fun and active way! Students used agility rings to move, step, and stay in rhythm while learning the popular sea shanty, “Wellerman.”

This activity helped students feel the music, practice timing, and connect movement to rhythm—all while having a great time making music together. It was an engaging way to build musical skills through movement and collaboration!

Ms. Brown’s classroom was filled with smiles and sweet moments as students hosted a special Valentine’s Day Tea Party! Each student had the chance to invite a friend to join them for this fun celebration of kindness and friendship.

Students practiced their manners, shared treats, enjoyed conversations, and built positive relationships with one another. It was a wonderful way to celebrate Valentine’s Day while reinforcing the importance of inclusion and making others feel welcome.

Thank you, Ms. Brown, for creating such a memorable experience for our students!
