NPHS Mobile Food Pantry Tuesday, Nov 14th! Please start the line outside the school parking lot next to the tennis courts. Do not come into the parking lot prior to the semi unloading of the distribution items. This is an open air, drive thru distribution. Patrons will drive their car through a line, and volunteers will bring boxed food to the car. Free of charge. 325 households will be served on a first come, first serve basis. The Food Bank of the Heartland sponsors the Food Pantry.

National School Psychology Week highlights the important work school psychologists and other educators do to help all students thrive!
NPHS Student Council Canned Food Drive, in conjunction with Madison Middle School's Student Council, will end on Friday, Nov. 10th. This event brings in tens of thousands of food items for North Platte and Lincoln County food banks. The High School Admin team has graciously agreed to be subjected to some fun activities if the school meets their goal. These food items are made available to families in need here in our area only. These families include friends, neighbors, and fellow classmates, so please start saving items for the North Platte High Canned Food Drive.
Mrs. Traci Foster organized the perfect opportunity for NPHS Juniors with "Connecting the Dots." The program allowed UNL to bring resources for an interactive career exploration simulation program that was enjoyed by the students. Once students learned about careers of interest, they were able to find the necessary steps to pursue that career choice. This is another great example of North Platte Public Schools getting their students college and career ready!
T&L Advisory Committee meets once a month to discuss a variety of topics and issues teachers face, and brainstorm solutions. This is another fantastic example of the dedication that teachers in NPPS have for their profession and their students! #WeRNPPS

NPHS NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT COLLEGE SIGNING DAY
NORTH PLATTE, NE, November 1, 2023 – North Platte High School will be holding its National Letter of Intent College Signing Day on November 8, 2023 at 2:30 pm in the Gymnasium at North Platte High School. This is a time to recognize and celebrate prospective student-athletes as they are signing to commit to participate in a sport at their intended college for the upcoming school year.

North Platte Public School paraprofessional educators have the opportunity to take courses through Chadron State College and earn their teaching degree. This is a wonderful opportunity for all parties, as individuals can grow professionally and advance their career in education, and it gives North Platte Public Schools the opportunity to have a pipeline of teachers who already have experience working with kids in their schools. Recently, North Platte Public Schools and Chadron State College have partnered up and provided free tuition for paraprofessionals that have been working in the Paraprofessional to Teacher program through a grant. Congratulations to Bonnie Colson, Stephanie Humprey, Jennifer McNeal, and Freedom Wiezorek, and the best of luck to you with your studies!
