MOBILE FOOD PANTRY - UPDATE - April 13th @ 1:00 PM NPHS Please start the line OUTSIDE of the school parking lot next to the tennis courts. DO NOT COME INTO THE PARKING LOT PRIOR TO THE SEMI UNLOADING THE DISTRIBUTION ITEMS. If you are in the parking lot prior to the gates opening we will ask you to move your vehicle. When the mobile distribution begins, cars can drive up to the gate by the Northeast corner of the football field. Patrons will drive thru the alley between the football field and the high school building, exiting on West A Street. Use only to entrance closest to the tennis courts to avoid congestion as students leave after school. While waiting for the distribution to begin you need to follow all traffic laws. Do not block driveways or streets for any reason. Safety is our number one concern and we do not want anyone to get hurt.

Due to an increase in activities, there will be no busing to and from Adams and Madison Middle Schools on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 Friday, April 23, 2021 Tuesday, April 27, 2021 We ask that families find alternative means of transportation on these dates. *This will not affect busing for Special Education Students.

We have been working with WCDHD to offer a vaccination clinic for students wishing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine who are 18 and older.  We will host this clinic this Thursday, April 8th, at the high school.  Please complete the following information if you/ your student would like to receive the vaccine this Thursday. Information: 1. Parental Permission Forms are required for students to receive the vaccination. *Please print, complete, and bring the attached form to the clinic 2. Online registration is required through https://vaccinate.ne.gov/en-US/ prior to arrival at the clinic. 3. The Single Shot Johnson and Johnson vaccine will be used on this day. Vaccination times are scheduled by the students last name: A-F - 8:30 a.m. G-M - 8:55 a.m. N-Q - 9:25 a.m. R-Z - 9:45 a.m. Makeup - 10:00 - 10:30 a.m. If you have any questions please contact Meghan Trevino, West Central District Health Department, at trevinom@wcdhd.org.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month We have teamed up with our local child advocacy center Bridge of Hope to promote awareness. As well as celebrate the awesome things they do to assist in child abuse prevention.  Below you will see the order form for shirts. We encourage you to wear them on Fridays throughout the month of April.  If you wish to order a shirt please complete the form attached then email it to gfletcher@nppsd.org and bbuscher@nppsd.org  Orders are due by Friday  April 2nd @ 10am Payment can be made by Venmo(see order form), check, or cash. We missed you at the NPHS National Honor Society Bulldog Blood Drive in early March, but you can still support our scholarship blood drive at a special drive on Friday, March 26, 2021, at the American Red Cross Donation Center, 1111 S. Cottonwood Street, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Each donation helps build our scholarship total for our NHS seniors and helps up to three patients. Appointments are strongly encouraged so social distancing can be practiced. Your donation is essential. We’d like to show our gratitude for being a vital part of our American Red Cross community with a special gift. FYI - North Platte, Nebraska –Now scheduling 18 years of age and older for COVID-19 vaccines West Central District Health Department (WCDHD) is now scheduling individuals 18 years of age and older for the COVID-19 vaccination. WCDHD is hosting a vaccination clinic at 1225 South Poplar, Suite 100 in North Platte, NE, Tuesday March 23, 2021. Anyone 18 years of age and older and needs their FIRST DOSE, is eligible. Please register ahead of time at vaccinate.ne.gov. If you are unable to register electronically, WCDHD staff are helping those who need assistance on a first come, first serve basis at the vaccination clinic location. If you did not have a previously scheduled appointment, please expect possible wait times. If you already have a COVID-19 vaccine appointment scheduled at WCDHD or another location, please keep that appointment time.
