NPPS Families,
As North Platte Public Schools is currently navigating through budget challenges, we have made the difficult decision to no longer offer the free snack in our elementary schools. The free snack program began as a grant for our school district, then the district began paying for the program when the requirements of the grants became too restrictive. We understand how important it is to keep our children fed and are still maintaining our free breakfast and Community Eligibility Provision program.
We ask for your understanding as we continue to work providing your children the best education possible.

Washington Preschool went full SUPERHERO today!! These students have earned tokens for great behaviors, kindness, and growing into SUPER students! Movies, snacks, and capes, oh my!

Thursday Night!! FREE admission for students & guardians, as well as one free popcorn per student. Wildcats! Show up & REPRESENT!!
Come cheer our Lady Bulldogs to a victory as they take on Aurora in volleyball! All elementary schools are invited. We'd like to show our support!

What a fun Friday night!! Congratulations to Mrs. Burford's 2nd grade class on being our top Change Wars winners!! She and her class, as well as some parents, carried our Washington banner proudly before the Bulldog game Friday evening!!
We also had a couple students join the Mini Bulldog Cheer Camp. We loved seeing them cheering!!
You make us proud, Wildcats!!

Heads up!! Homecoming is next week! Here are the details for our Washington Wildcats to join the parade fun! Let's rock this town! Fireworks show will follow the evening festivities at the high school. Tell your friends!

The Doctors are IN!
Whew do I feel healthy this morning! Mrs. Milton and Mrs. Vencill's 1st grade classes spent the day "on call" as they learned all about the Human Body Systems, even using some of their Maths facts. Take a look at our hard-working doctors in action!

Tomorrow is the last day to bring in change for the change wars!!!

George Washington and Abraham Lincoln stopped by 4th grade today. The students enjoyed having them as guest teachers in honor of Constitution Day.

Wrapping up YOU MATTER week.
Wildcat PUZZLE PIECES!
Hello, Wildcat families!! Here are you final FAMILY CHAT freebies for the YOU MATTER week.
1. Today's challenge was to tell someone you love that they are special. Who did you tell? How do you think they felt when they heard you tell them that they were special?
2. How are people like puzzle pieces?? Each person, like a puzzle piece, is unique and special. Each piece is necessary to complete the whole picture!
3. What would happen if each puzzle piece was the exact same?!
4. Think about people you may not be best friends with and think about how they may be special in their own way. Tell one of those people what makes them special and important.
Have a wonderful weekend! Be encouraged and encourage others! YOU MATTER in this world.
