Washington’s 1st Grade totally ROCKED Read Across America week with our district's Rock, Paper, Scissors theme!
Parents were invited to help their first graders create pet rocks, eat trail mix, and of course read together!!

Math & Reading Night "Estimate" Winners!
Mrs. Stine and Mrs. Blackburn had all sorts of treat bags set up Thursday night. Students gave their best guesses for how many items were in each pack. We announced the winners this morning!! Look at these happy kids!!


Notable Nebraskans visit Washington Elementary!
Music and entertainment and Nebraska! Oh my!
Watch these Washington 4th graders meet and greet their friends and families while portraying their individually-researched “Notable Nebraskan” personas.
Each student researched a famous Nebraskan. Today, they dressed up as these people so they could meet and greet their visitors, sing songs, and enjoy cookies and a bit of Kool-Aid!
Nebraska really is the good life!! Great job, 4th Graders!

Washington's first graders have been working all week on identifying how young look like their parents. Today, Ag in the Classroom came to talk with us about farm animals - young and parents. We also learned how to identify them and what they produce for us.

Washington WINNING Prize Day!
It's that time again! Students are given tickets when they're caught being safe, kind, respectful, responsible, positive influences! They enter those tickets into buckets and every other Thursday we draw names! This week, we had a MYSTERY PRIZE the students could enter their names into. Those winners will be announced tomorrow when they receive their MYSTERY prize.
