We are PUZZLED by how quickly this quarter is flying by! And speaking of... when our students finish work early or even need a brain break, they've sure been enjoying a few minutes of puzzle time. Here are the last two puzzles finished. We love these Washington students' smiles! #WAWildcats

Washington's High Achievement Learners (HAL) students took a field trip on Tuesday with all NPPS 3-5th grade HAL students to the Edgerton Explorit Center in Aurora, NE. Their day was filled with "seeing the unseen" using hands-on experiments and demonstrations. If you ask these students, they'll tell you they had a fantastic day and recommend everyone takes time to visit, no matter their age. - Mrs. McIntosh, Washington HAL Leader "The Edgerton Explorit Center exists to instill and nurture in all people the joy of scientific discovery and exploration through hands-on learning experiences. Located in Dr. Harold Edgerton’s home town, the Edgerton Explorit Center inspires kids age 2 to 92 through exciting activities and state-of-the-art programming." Compost Day 2024 was a total success!! Mr. Ferguson's Kindergartners have been learning how to save their compost and how that can help them give back to the earth. Yesterday, Ferguson's students and their parents used that nutrient-rich compost to plant flowers! Washington is looking beautiful this Spring!!

We sure enjoyed the awe in their voices and expressions. If you’d like to add something fun to your evening convo, here’s an eclipse joke😃 Why did the teacher bring solar eclipse glasses to school?? She had BRIGHT students!! Check out Facebook for more photos!

Wildcat families!! Today was a BIG day!! We combined Guidance and PE, with the help of our Resource teacher. It was our Inclusion lesson from last week, which was postponed due to the snow day. We learned about 3 different areas in which friends may need some help - physical, sensory, and cognitive. Mrs. Simmons shared a bit of her story and how her teachers and friends made sure she was included as a teen. Our goal is that our little Wildcats will learn to see when others need help participating and then find ways to help them join! Check out the pictures on Facebook, as well as the North Platte Telegraph and KNOP News 2!
