Your students are invited to engage in an exciting summer health academy provided by Great Plains Health and North Platte Public Schools. See below for more details.
Empowering middle school students to learn more about the multiple careers in Health Sciences. This summer, three 1/2 day Academy will explore all aspects of healthcare. Students will engage in simulations to discover the many different healthcare fields. Each student will fill out a job shadow form for their time at the Great Plains Health. Space is limited to 30. Registration closes June 30th or when full.
Students who participate will:
· engage in opportunities of interest rich in creativity
· develop critical thinking and inquiry skills
· improve listening skills
· enhance collaboration and team-building skills
This academy is open to all NPPS 2022-2023 6th, 7th, or 8th-grade students.

Congratulations to Vince Genatone on being selected as the 21-22 Omaha World Herald Male Athlete of the Year!!! Vince was a standout for the Bulldogs on the football field, wrestling mat, and track for the past two seasons!! Congrats Vince and best of luck at Univ. of Montana!!!

Due to maintenance issues, all athletes will have to access North Platte High School from the SOUTH doors closest to the Weight Room on THURSDAY & FRIDAY (6.9.22 & 6.10.22).
Athletes can park either on the EAST end of the NPHS parking lot or park along A Street. DO NOT park in the businesses parking lot across the street from the HS.
There will be NO ACCESS to the Dawg House Gym on Friday (6.10.22) due to a change in scheduling the maintenance issue caused for the Miss Nebraska Pageant.
The NPPS Kids Klub kiddos are having a blast interacting and learning at the Buffalo Early Learning Center.

DAWGS FINISH 6th IN CLASS A!!!!!Bringing home more hardware from the state track meet this afternoon was Lathan Moss (8th PV) Caden Joneson (6th 110HH) Kolten Tilford (7th 100) Vince Genatone (3rd 100) 400M Relay (2nd). Great job sending Coach McGuire out on a high note!!!
NPHS SENIOR CHANCE SKAGGS competed today in the Wheelchair 200M at the NSAA State Meet!!! Chance worked hard all season to earn this opportunity and we are so happy for him, his teammates, and coaches!!! Great job today!!! #WTMB
STATE TRACK & FIELD UPDATE: After the AM session, the Bulldogs are taking home 4 MORE MEDALS with Nic Davis (5th Discus) Jack Oettinger (3rd PV) Kolten Tilford (4th LJ) and Donte Koif (5th LJ)!!! Running events now underway at Omaha Burke…FINISH STRONG DAWGS!!! #WTMB
