The NPHS district speech team attended A-3 district competition at Lincoln Southeast on March 9th. Students placing first through fourth in each event move on to the State Speech competition in Kearney on March 20th. The Oral Interpretation of Drama team of Cyrus Frazier, Makala Dailey, and Finnley Eickhoff placed 1st. The Oral Interpretation of Drama team of Lyndsay James, Xaivria Lemmer, and Carolina Prieto placed 2nd. Both teams will compete at State.
Other NPHS district medalists were Cyrus Frazier, 5th in Humorous Prose; Isabella Frazier, 6th in Persuasive Speaking; and Sawyer Magnuson, 6th in Extemporaneous Speaking.
March is National Nutrition Month! A great reminder to put good things into our bodies!
NPHS Mobile Food Pantry Tuesday, March 12th! Please start the line outside the school parking lot next to the tennis courts. Do not come into the parking lot prior to the semi unloading of the distribution items. This is an open air, drive thru distribution. Patrons will drive their car through a line, and volunteers will bring boxed food to the car. Free of charge. 325 households will be served on a first come, first serve basis. The Food Bank of the Heartland sponsors the Food Pantry.
