Reminder! Tonight's the Night! Walk with Washington in the Homecoming parade. ALL students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the parade. It's a family affair! The attached map shows where to line-up at 6:45 PM. You may bring candy to throw, if you'd like. PTO purchased a few bags but we can always use more candy. The parade will end by the parking lot behind the Pawnee Hotel. Wear your Washington and/or RED gear and show up ready to represent!

Here are the details from our Washington PTO:
Here is a map on where we will be meeting for the parade tomorrow! Line up at 6:45PM.
You can bring candy to toss if you would like, there will be limited bags of candy provided by PTO.
At the end of the parade, families can meet at the parking lot behind the Pawnee Hotel.
Our Washington apparel orders are slowly coming in. We will begin distributing them today but it may take a few days to get through them all. We're still waiting on some to come in from printing. We're can't wait to get them in your hands!!
Congratulations to the Kindergarten students for having the highest percentage of attendance in August! The will be getting their grade level reward this week.

Fairytales and Flapjacks is BACK!
Mrs. Mortimer and Miss Magallanes' 2nd graders celebrated the end of their unit on Fairytales and Tall Tales with a dress-up day and flapjacks. We have Paul Bunyan, Babe the Blue ox, Pecos Bill, and a whole court of beautiful princesses! Check out Facebook for more photos.

Our Wildcats are enjoying a relaxing break during Specials today where they listen to a book ("The Elves and the Shoemaker" or "We Don't Eat Our Friends") and take time to practice their Box Breathing.
If you haven't read "The Elves and the Shoemaker," we highly recommend it! The students had FANTASTIC ideas of how they could give to others without spending money (scooping snow, doing dishes, a kind word, and the list goes on).
If you need a conversation started for tonight's supper, ask you kiddos how they can be not only good receivers but GIVERS! You can also ask them to teach you how to use Box Breathing as a tool to help you calm nerves if you're upset!

Hey there, Wildcats!
We are SO excited to see you all tomorrow for our FIRST day of school!! Staff will be out on the blacktop at 7:45 waiting to see all your smiling faces. As a reminder, we will continue to release at 2:30 on Wednesdays, which means you get a short day on your first day! One more sleep! See you tomorrow morning!!
