On Saturday, October 3rd, 2026, the North Platte High School Bulldog Band traveled to Grand Island to compete in the Harvest of Harmony, taking on top competition in both the Parade and Field Show categories.
In the morning parade competition, the band earned 4th place in Class AA and placed 8th overall out of 80 participating bands from across the region. Later in the day, the Marching Bulldogs took the field to debut their full show, Return of the Samurai, for the first time this season. The performance earned them 2nd place overall in Class AA—finishing just four points behind Kearney High School.
The results underscored the students’ upper-echelon execution, particularly in the music categories where they scored neck-and-neck with a program twice their size. The band also captured 1st place in General Effect Visual, a category evaluating how seamlessly drill, music, visual performance, and props tie together on the field!
A special thank-you goes out to our parent chaperones and pit crew parents whose tireless work transporting equipment and managing props made the trip possible.
