Today in IT Fundamentals, with Mr. Cahill, students had the opportunity to work with real computers, taking them apart and naming the different components and putting them back together. This was part of our IT Components Unit. Below are a few photos of the project!

“Intro to Business students explored economics and scarcity through a hands-on tower challenge. Using only limited supplies, six teams competed to build the tallest structure to hold a marshmallow—showcasing creativity, teamwork, and active learning.”

This morning is the sunrise on the last, first day of school for the class of 2026! Some members of the class gathered today in the student section to spend this morning together. Hers to a great year!

No appointment needed — just show up! All students need a photo for their school ID and yearbook.

The NPHS Theatre Department is gearing up for auditions for their fall play August 4th and 5th! More information about the process has been posted on the NPHS Theatre Google Classroom. Students that are interested in auditions but are not in the Classroom should email Mrs. McDaniel for information.

The 25-26 application for Kids Klub afterschool program is live in your parent portal. Applications can be submitted at this time. Kids Klub staff will contact you by August 5th with your child’s status in our program.

North Platte High School seniors Colten Altig and Carson Grandel along with their fishing coach Kent Priel won the 2024 Nebraska State High School B.A.S.S. tournament and qualified for nationals. They will be headed to Clarks Hill Lake, Georgia July 25th for the 2025 Strike King Bassmaster High School National Championship! They will be competing July 31st - August 2nd! Outstanding work, here fellas!!

North Platte FCCLA just wrapped up an unforgettable week at the National FCCLA Competition — and we’re coming home with some serious bragging rights! 🏆✈️🌴
🎯 Rebecca Keneip wowed in Culinary Knife Skills Level 3 with her precision and poise!

🍽️ Bella Harwager brought the heat in Hospitality and Tourism Level 2, earning an incredible Silver Medal! 🥈

👗 Emily Odle stitched her way into the spotlight in Fashion Design Level 2, placing in the Top 10 NATIONALLY and taking home a Gold Medal! 🥇💫

Considering this was North Platte's very first year at Nationals — we crushed it! 💥
We’re heading home with medals, memories, and a whole lot of pride. Can’t wait to share our amazing experiences with our community!
