As we prepare for another great year at Adams, we want to remind families about a few important expectations and upcoming updates:
📱 Cell Phone Policy – Please review our school cell phone expectations with your student. Limiting distractions helps us create a positive learning environment for all Bulldogs.
📚 ICU (Incomplete Work Program) – Communication is the key to success! Families, students, and staff working together help ensure students stay on track academically. Please watch for updates and stay connected with your child's teachers.
🏫 ISS & OSS Guidelines – Due to recent Nebraska legislation, some changes will be made to our In-School Suspension (ISS) and Out-of-School Suspension (OSS) procedures. More information will be shared with families before the school year begins.
🤝 Classroom Protocols – We believe student success happens through strong partnerships between students, teachers, and parents. Our classroom procedures and communication expectations will continue to focus on collaboration, accountability, and support for every learner.
Thank you for partnering with us to make Adams Middle School a place where students are prepared, responsible, respectful, and safe every day!
#AdamsBulldogs #BulldogPride #PartneringForSuccess #PreparedResponsibleRespectfulSafe 🐶💙

📅 First Days of School

Our 7th graders will have a special transition day to get comfortable with the building, staff, and routines before our 8th graders arrive.

Wednesday Early Release: 2:30 p.m.
💻 Check Your Infinite Campus Portal
Please log in to your Parent and Student Portal before school begins. All required back-to-school paperwork is completed electronically through Infinite Campus, including:
Annual registration
Emergency contact information
School forms
Bus registration (including transportation from Madison to Adams)
Important school communications
This will be our primary way of sharing information with families throughout the school year.
📘 ICU Continues
Our ICU (Intervention, Completion, and Understanding) program remains an important part of Adams Middle School. ICU provides students with additional opportunities and support to complete assignments and master learning. Our goal is to work together with families to ensure every student succeeds.
*Please also remember our phone policy will continue here at Adams as well. No cell phones throughout the school day. The cell phones will be checked into students' homerooms in the morning and checked back out at the end of the day. Please also remember that computers only go home if the homeroom teacher has notification from other teachers that they have work to be done.
🩺 Physical Reminder
All incoming 7th-grade students must have a current physical and updated immunization records on file. Students participating in athletics must also have a current sports physical before practices begin.
🤝 The Middle School Concept
Every student at Adams is part of a team of teachers dedicated to supporting their academic success, social-emotional growth, and overall well-being. We believe strong relationships lead to stronger learning.
🏫 In-School Suspension (ISS)
Students assigned to ISS should be dropped off at the back entrance at 8:30 a.m. and picked up at 3:00 p.m. from the same location.
💻 New Academic Support Program
Students on the academic "down list" will have limited access to certain computer applications until grades improve. This program helps students stay focused on their schoolwork and prepares them for high school expectations. YouTube will be the first application restricted, but teachers will ensure students have access to any resources needed for classroom instruction.
We are excited to partner with our Bulldog families for another fantastic school year. Thank you for your continued support as we help every student learn, grow, and succeed.
See you soon, Bulldogs! 💙💛
Sorry for the confusion.
Mrs. Brosius
We are thrilled to announce a new opportunity designed to help our incoming 7th-grade students have a successful start to the school year!
This year, Adams Middle School will welcome 7th-grade students on Tuesday, August 12, while 8th-grade students will report on Wednesday, August 13. This additional transition day for our newest Bulldogs will allow our staff to focus on helping 7th graders become comfortable with their new school, learn routines, build connections, and start the year with confidence.
📚 Student schedules will be distributed just as they have been in previous years:
• 7th Grade – Schedules will be available outside the west 7th-grade doors on the 12th
• 8th Grade – Schedules will be available outside the south doors on the 13th
🚗 Morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up locations will also remain the same:
• 7th Grade – West entrance
• 8th Grade – South entrance
We wanted to share this information early so families can plan and enjoy their summer knowing that Adams Middle School is committed to making the transition to middle school as smooth and positive as possible for every student.
Our staff is incredibly excited that this opportunity was approved, and we look forward to dedicating this extra time to helping our incoming 7th graders feel welcomed, supported, and ready for an amazing year.
We hope this early notice helps families plan ahead while enjoying a relaxing and well-deserved summer break. We can't wait to welcome our Bulldogs back in August! 🐾💙
📣 Adams Staff Update – Ready for Another Great Year! 🐾
As we prepare for the new school year, we are excited to continue building on the success of last year! All staff members will have homerooms this year, and while some may share computer carts, we expect a smooth transition overall.
Our schedule will look very similar to last year, with one exciting addition—more homeroom time in the morning dedicated to Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). This time will help us strengthen relationships, build important life skills, and support the success of every Bulldog.
The best part? Staff will be provided with the resources and guidance needed, and everyone will be working from the same program to ensure consistency for our students.
We are excited about the opportunities this dedicated time will create as we continue fostering a positive, supportive, and connected learning community at Adams.
For now, though, take time to enjoy a well-deserved summer! ☀️
Relax. Rejuvenate. Spend time with family and friends. Make memories, recharge your batteries, and take pride in all that you accomplished this year. You have earned it!
We can't wait to welcome everyone back refreshed, energized, and ready for another amazing year at Adams.
🐾 Have a fantastic summer, Bulldogs! Stronger relationships. Stronger students. Stronger Bulldogs. 🐾
