How about this NPHS team? Only 1 school can be recognized in each state, each year, as a recipient of an ACAC School of Excellence award winner. 26 schools were recognized. North Platte High School was one of them, for their efforts in helping students apply to college and opening doors for bright futures. #WeRNPPS

NPPS and first responders participated in Reunification Training. This training goes through the process of joining students back with their parents in the event of a school evacuation, and is another layer of safety for our students. #WeRNPPS
NPHS Student Council is hosting the 10th Annual “Light Up the Night” 5k Run/Walk to benefit Make-A-Wish of Nebraska. This is the first race of the 5K season through the Platte River Fitness Series. There is also a Kids Mile that elementary and middle school age students may sign up for and participate in; the Kids Mile starts at 7:15 pm. All entries will receive a shirt, a glow in the dark neck band, glow in the dark wristbands, granola bars, and a water bottle.
The 5K Run/Walk will take place at Cody Park on Saturday, March 29th, beginning shortly after the Kids Mile (so around 7:30), with registration beginning at 6:00 pm. I have attached the flyer and registration form, however, you also have the option to sign up online at https://www.platteriverfitness.com/lightup.
Today (March 14th) we promote and support SEL to support mental health well-being.
We may not have school today, but you can still visit your math teachers at parent-teacher conferences and wish them a happy Pi Day!

NPHS Mobile Food Pantry Tuesday, March 11th! Please start the line outside the school parking lot next to the tennis courts. Do not come into the parking lot prior to the semi unloading of the distribution items. This is an open air, drive thru distribution. Patrons will drive their car through a line, and volunteers will bring boxed food to the car. Free of charge. 325 households will be served on a first come, first serve basis. The Food Bank of the Heartland sponsors the Food Pantry.
