North Platte, Neb. – North Platte Public Schools Day for Mental Health announces Tom Farley, brother of the late comedian and actor Chris Farley as the keynote speaker for the day. Farley will close the event with a 1:00 p.m. message about substance abuse, addiction, recovery, and prevention.

NPPS Director of Student Services, Brandy Buscher, shared extensive gratitude to the Mental Health Day event sponsors, Great Plains Health Foundation, Whitetail Screen Print, Janssen Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, and TeamMates Mentoring of North Platte. Mrs. Buscher stated, ‘the support garnered from these generous donors, and the work of the student services team make events to support student wellbeing possible.’

This is the second Mental Health event of this type held at North Platte Public Schools, and with the growing needs of students, families, and those we serve, we hope to continue providing more services in the future, Mrs. Buscher went on to add.
