North Platte Public School District continues to demonstrate meaningful progress through its focus on student-centered learning strategies, and collaborative culture. With the Nebraska Department of Education’s release of the 2025 AQuESTT Classification Ratings, NPPSD proudly includes three schools classified as “Good,” six as “Great,” and one as “Excellent.” None of the schools at NPPS are classified as “Needing Support.”

North Platte Public Schools is proud to announce a consistent upward trend in student achievement. Over the past four years, every tested grade level has shown growth in NSCAS Math, ELA, and Science proficiency. This success extends to our high school juniors, who have also seen steady gains in their ACT scores.

Overall, NPPS has achieved an amazing 11.89% increase in annual proficiency since 2021/2022. This growth is a direct result of a commitment to strong instructional practices and leadership across the district. Central to this success is dedicated Professional Learning Community (PLC) time, which allows teachers to collaborate on essential skill-based assessments, and data-driven, targeted instruction to ensure every student succeeds.

These outcomes reflect district-wide emphasis on data-informed decision making, curriculum alignment, and student support. NPPS uses formative, summative, and state assessment results to guide school improvement efforts and target student needs. The district’s emphasis on high quality instructional materials, career exploration, test preparation, and meaningful student engagement continues to strengthen academic growth and readiness. No single assessment tells the full story of student learning, but the 2024/2025 results highlight areas of growth and affirm that North Platte Public Schools are moving forward with purpose, accountability, and a clear focus on continuous improvements for all learners.
