Job Descriptions

Professional Development

NPPSD provides all new faculty with a two (2) year mentorship program. All new hires are matched with a mentor who helps guide the individual through the teacher's probationary years. New teachers join a dynamic and accomplished faculty where more than 55% hold master's degrees and possess an average of 13 years of teaching experience.

We encourage new staff to pursue continuing education and to explore their professional interests while advancing on the salary scale. In addition NPPSD offers ample opportunity to gain leadership experience and the possibility to move into leadership roles.

Student Teachers

To be considered for a student teaching assignment at NPPSD, the candidate and/or university must submit the following information:

  • A written request from the student teaching/internship coordinator or school department specifying the subject area and requested dates of placement.

    • Note: This request should be on university letterhead.

  • A resume or curriculum vitae.

  • An unofficial transcript.

  • A Philosophy of Education statement.

  • Any other supporting documents.

NPPSD is offering $2000 per semester for all student teachers.
