MidWest Grads will be here today, November 3rd from 11:30am - 2:00pm in the Commons to take your graduation orders. Payment is due at time of purchase.  If you have questions, see Mrs. Schumacher in the Counselor's Office. 

Poetry Club will meet today, Nov. 3rd from 3:30-4:30pm in Mrs. Seifer's room. All are welcome! 

Interested in competing against other schools in Mario Kart 8?  ESports will be having a meeting after school  tomorrow, November 4th after school at 3:30pm in room 1103 in order to talk about the next season.  If you are not able to attend please stop by and talk to Mrs. McBeain or email her to get more information.  

The Healthy High School Challenge ends tomorrow, November 4th.  There is still time to help our school capture one of the 101 cash prizes, and maybe even win the top prize of $5,000.  Earn points by purchasing combo meals in the cafeteria, healthy snacks or beverages on the challenge list.  Now's the time to make our push and win the Healthy High School Challenge.  For the latest results, check out the Healthy High School Challenge on Facebook.

Hey Bulldogs:  The yearbook staff is working hard to produce you an awesome product this year.  We are currently working on class pages.  If you received an email saying we don't have your photo, the yearbook staff will be holding a last-chance photo session in room 1403 during Bulldog Time on Thursday, Nov 10th.  If we don't have a photo for you after that date, you will be listed in the "Not Pictured" section of your class.  Please see Mrs. Kelley or a yearbook staff member for more information!

NPHS Student Council Canned Food Drive will run through Friday, Nov. 11th (4:00pm).  This event brings in tens of thousands of food items for North Platte and Lincoln County food banks.  These food items are made available to families in need here in our area only. These families include friends, neighbors, and fellow classmates.  A list with the point totals will be distributed to each teacher and will be posted around the school, or they can be picked up from Mr. Bruck in room 2201. 

Each grade will be tied to an administrator.  For the grades that meet their goal, the administrator assigned to that class will have to kiss a pig in front of the student body during a school wide assembly.  A Bulldog Time competition will also take place for the Canned Food Drive.  The Bulldog Time that brings the most items, will earn Casey’s breakfast pizza.

Hey senior bulldogs! Just a quick reminder that senior portraits for the yearbook are due by Tuesday, Nov. 22nd.  Send your portraits to yearbook@nppsd.org or come to 1401 for more information.  Photo requirement information is available in 1401 or any of the offices.  Please see Mrs. Kelley or a yearbook staff member for more information or if you have any questions.

Sophomores who are interested in being considered for the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) Conference encouraged to stop by the Counselor's Office and see Mrs. Horne for more information.  The HOBY seminar is designed for sophomores with demonstrated or potential leadership skills who would like to further develop their leadership abilities. 

                                                                                      ATTENTION SENIORS!!

• Please stop into the Counselor's Office or email Mrs. Schumacher at tschumacher@nppsd.org to check the spelling of your name that will be on your diploma.  Any name that is not checked and corrected before diplomas are ordered will be replaced at your expense. 

• Seniors: The local scholarships are still available!  Stop by the Counselor's Office to pick up the scholarship applications that you may qualify for.  These scholarships are listed in your scholarship booklet and can also be found and printed from our high school webpage, NPHS Counselor's Corner.   Completed scholarship applications are due to the Counselor's Office by Friday, Dec. 16th! 

 

Interested in attending a college presentation?  See Mrs. Schumacher in the Counselor's Office to sign up!  Representatives will be visiting the North Platte High School Career Center on the following dates:   Mid Plains Community College - Tuesday, Nov. 8th @ 9:00am, Chadron State College - Thursday, Nov. 10th @ 2:30pm and College of Engineering at UNL - Tuesday, Nov. 22nd @ 10:30am
