Have you ever wondered how much you can bench press?  Ever thought about being in the World's Strongest Man contest?  The North Platte High School Powerlifting Team might be just the thing for you!  There will be a brief meeting in the weight room on Monday, October 17th at 3:45pm with Coach Arttie Parker for both male and female athletes!  If you are interested, and are not competing in a Winter Sport, come see what Powerlifting is all about! 


There will be an FFA meeting on Tuesday, October 18th, at 7:00pm in the ag room.  We will be having a pumpkin painting contest, so make sure to bring a pumpkin to join the fun! 




ATTENTION Students going on the Europe Trip this Summer. There will be a Fundraising meeting next Wednesday, Oct 19th in room 2308 (Harman's room) right after school at 2:20pm. 




Dungeons and Dragons will meet on Thursday, Oct. 20th.  See you there!!



Spanish students interested in attending the Edgar Rene concert MUST turn in their permission slips and $15 to their Spanish teacher by Thursday, Oct 20th. See your teacher for Information. This is also open for Students who took Spanish last year. 



Attention creative people: the Art Department is hosting a tiny art display beginning Tuesday, October 25th.  Enter any artwork, any medium, any skill level, as long as it is 4"x6" or smaller.  All artwork must be school appropriate, signed, and original.  You do not have to  be an art student to enter artwork...staff is welcome as well!  Come see us if you need sticky notes or other small paper to work on.  Entries due Monday, October 24th.  See Mrs. DeVoe or Mrs. Mason with questions.


Have questions on the FAFSA?? Need some one on one support to get it completed? EducationQuest will be here Monday, October 31st and Tuesday, November 1st to help you with that one on one support.  Appointments are required. Please call EducationQuest at 308.234.63101 to setup an appointment. 


Don't forget, the Healthy High School National Challenge is in full swing and you can help our school win the $5,000 top prize by purchasing combo meals in the cafeteria, healthy snacks or beverages on the challenge list.  Don't let our school down.


ATTENTION SENIORS (Change of Date):   On Thursday, November 3rd, MidWest Grads will be in the Commons Area during lunch from 11:00am – 2:00pm to take senior graduation orders.  This will be the only in-school order date so please do not forget to place your order.  Information packets will be sent home with you in Bulldog Time this week.  If you do not have a Bulldog Time or you need an extra packet, these are available in the Counselor’s Office.   An $80 deposit is due at the time of order, if the total is less than $80, please pay in full.  If your balance is more than $200, the deposit is increased to $100.  IMPORTANT:  Because of potential manufacturing delays relating to the CoronaVirus, it is extremely important that you ORDER ON TIME!  MidWest Grads will NOT be able to guarantee all product availability after the school order deadline this year.  THIS INCLUDES YOUR CAP AND GOWN as they are produced new for each school during the winter months.  See Mrs. Schumacher in the Counselor's Office if you have questions.  


Seniors: The local scholarships are available!  Stop by the Counselor's Office to pick up the scholarship applications that you may qualify for.  These scholarships are listed in your scholarship booklet and can also be found and printed from our high school webpage, NPHS Counselor's Corner.   Completed scholarship applications are due to the Counselor's Office by Friday, Dec. 16th!

Interested in attending a college presentation?  See Mrs. Schumacher in the Counselor's Office to sign up!  Representatives will be visiting the North Platte High School Career Center on the following dates:   University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) - Tuesday, October 18th @ 11:30am and Mid Plains Community College - Tuesday, Nov. 9th @ 9:00am
