Prospective National Honor Society members - will meet today, September 29th at 7:30am or 3:25pm in the Career Center. This meeting is for juniors and seniors who have a 3.6 GPA or above and are interested in joining.



There will be an informational meeting for everyone interested in participating in the competition One Act today, September 29th at 3:30pm in Mrs. McDaniel's room 2408. Come have a ton of fun while we travel, compete against other schools, and bring Shakespeare into the 21st century!



Want to be a part of the first girls wrestling team at NPHS?  If so, there will be a meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 4th @ 7:30 am in the wrestling room for all girls interested in joining.  Hope to see you there!



Skills USA will be having a general club meeting on Tuesday, Oct 4th at 7:00pm in the Electricity Lab.



Interested in taking the ASVAB Test on Tuesday, Oct. 4th?  The ASVAB Test is a career exploration test to find out what your great at!  This is a great FREE practice test for college SAT’s and gives you a great idea of possible career fields you could pursue after High School.  Sign up in the Counselor's Office or ask Mrs. Schumacher for more information.

Hey North Platte High School students, it's time to show your school spirit!  Starting on Monday, our school will be taking part in the Healthy High School Challenge, and we'll be competing against high schools around the country to see who can win some of the $80,000 in cash prizes.  During October, for every combo meal in the cafeteria, healthy snack or beverage purchase you make, we will earn points toward winning the Healthy High School Challenge and the top prize of $5,000.  The best part is you'll be helping us claim victory while enjoying some delicious and healthy food at the same time.  Remember, the Healthy High School Challenge starts Monday.  More information on the challenge is available in the cafeteria.

Are you a senior? Are you interested in what MPCC has to offer? Join us on Wednesday, Oct. 5th to take a tour of MPCC. We will visit the auto, welding, HVAC, and other trade/tech sites on north campus, then head to south campus to look at the medical and business offerings. Sign up is in the counseling office.


Are you interested in the healthcare profession? Are you thinking about going into nursing? Do you want to learn more about the University of Nebraska Medical Center College programs? Juniors and Seniors, come join us on Wednesday, Oct. 12th in Kearney to explore professions in the health care area more closely. Sign up sheet is in the counseling office.


Are you curious about what careers are out there that fit your interests and skills? The Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Career Exploration Day on Wednesday, October 26th to do just that. You will be introduced to a variety of careers and get to participate in hands-on activities. Career fields include construction, health and human services, legal, educational, retail, manufacturing, and sales just to name a few. If you are a junior or senior and are interested, you can sign up in the counselor's office.


Are you interested in the medical field after graduation? The counseling department is taking a trip to visit Central Community College in Grand Island on Wednesday, November 2nd to check on the medical programs they have to offer. If you are a junior or senior and interested in learning more about CCC Grand Island, you can sign up in the counselor's office to join us. 


Juniors and Seniors, are you interested in finding out what UNK has to offer? Come join us for a visit to the UNK campus on Wednesday, November 9th. Sign up sheet is in the counselor's office.
