Kudos to our NPHS video production students that have earned official selections to the Wildcat Spirit Film Festival next month.   Congratulations to Drew Carlson for his film Mindscape, Skye Moses for his film The Dark Side of Us, and MacGregor O’Brien for his film The Gold Mine.  These students competed against other high school students and college students for a spot at the festival.  If any students are interested in making films, hype videos, or videos for the new LED board there are still some open spots left in next year's Video Production Classes!  See your counselor if interested.


Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet tonight, March 23rd at 8 pm in the Dawg Pound.  Come join us for fun games and engaging conversations. 



All female students who are no longer in a PE class nor in a spring sport must remove their belongings from their PE locker and turn in their lock by today, March 23rd. Failure to turn in your lock will result in a $5.00 replacement fine.  If you ARE still in a PE class or spring sport and will be keeping your lock this term, please make sure your name is checked off on the sheet in Ms. Cepel’s office.


The High School Support Group will meet today, March 23rd at 2:30pm in room 1205.  This group is for any student struggling with unhealthy or violent relationships, violence at home or sexual assault and is open to grades 9 - 12 and all genders.  Call the RDAP office at 532-0624 for more information.


If you are interested in trying out for the Pacers Dance Team for next year there will be an informational meeting tomorrow, March 24th, at 7:00PM at the high school in the library. Practices will begin Tuesday, March 29th, with tryouts being held on Wednesday, April 6th after school.   Pick up a tryout packet in the office.


SkillsUSA:  We will have a meeting tomorrow,  March 24th at 7:00 in the Electricity lab.  This will be the last meeting before we leave for state.  We will hand out Blazers, cover the agenda and expectations while we are there.  If you have not worked on your competition you NEED to get started.


Pre-Med Club will be meeting tomorrow, March 24th at 7 pm in the Careers Center. We will be having a "speed dating" session to meet with different healthcare professionals and see what their jobs are like.  Anyone is welcome, and there will be snacks! Contact Elleigh Fisher for any questions.



Attention Digital Media, Technology, Performing Arts, Art, and Digital Art Students:  Erica Larsen-Dockray from the Calibraska Arts Initiative will be here TOMORROW at 10:20 to give a presentation about the “Summer Sign-up Party”. This is the registration for the Calibraska Arts Summer Arts Program. If you are interested in attending, sign up is in the counseling office. Those attending will check into your 2nd block class on Thursday and then report to the career center.


Just a reminder that auditions for the spring play, Trap will be held in room 2408 after school tomorrow, March 24th and Friday, March 25th.  Be sure to stop in and pick up a packet from Mrs. McDaniel and plan to be there!



2022-2023 Colorguard Try-Outs will start with an informational meeting Monday, March 28th at 4pm in the Auxiliary Gym, this is open to all  9th-12th graders. Practices will then run Tuesday the 29th- Wednesday, April 13th 4-5pm in the Auxiliary Gym. Hope to see a lot of new faces this year!  If interested please come sign up in the Band Room on the Colorguard Try-Out Sign up sheet. 


There will be an FFA meeting on Tuesday, March 29th, at 7:00pm in the Ag. Room. All members need to be in attendance! In the meantime, make sure you are turning in your officer applications and greenhand degrees to the advisors!



Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA)  – The Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) is awarded annually to a current sophomore or junior in the high school who have demonstrated leadership in school, community or place of worship.  As a RYLA recipient, the students attend an all expenses paid, five-night conference (July 12 – July 17, 2022) in the beautiful Nebraska National Forest near Halsey, Nebraska, about 80 miles north of North Platte.  This camp brings together a special group of young men and women to share ideas about becoming better leaders.   Applications can be found at  https://greatplainsryla.org/apply  and must be submitted on-line no later than March 31, 2022.  See Mrs. Horne in the Counselor's Office for more information.


Undergraduate Awards Night will be held Wednesday, April 27th. A list of qualifying students has been posted on the bulletin board next to the Counselor's Office. Please check to see if you qualify. If you have any questions or don't see your name on the list and you think it should be please see Mrs. Schumacher in the Counselor's Office as soon as possible.

Attention Seniors: If you have received a scholarship or award, and would like it recognized at Senior Awards Night on Wednesday, April 20th and printed in the commencement program, please email or bring a copy of your notification to Mrs. Schumacher in the Counselor's Office by Friday, April 8th.  (All scholarships can be turned in for recognition even if you don't plan on attending the college that awarded the scholarship but grants or loans will be included.) 


The FBI Omaha Division is offering a summer Teen Academy at the Omaha Field Office on July 21. This is for anyone who will be a high school junior or senior next year. If you are interested, please talk to Mrs. Odle in Rm 2517 and she will get you an application and answer any questions you may have. It is a competitive application process. The deadline to apply is 4/29/22.

The World Language Department is proud to announce a new language offering of French, levels 1 and 2, for next year; the 2022-2023 school year.  Please see your counselor if you are interested.
