Reminder: There will be NO SCHOOL today, March 17th and tomorrow, March 18th due to Parent/Teacher Conferences. See you on Monday!!
Please join us for Parent/Teacher Conferences at North Platte High School today, March 17th from 1:00pm - 8:00pm and tomorrow, March 18th from 7:45am - 11:45pm. No appointment is necessary. Class schedules, room numbers and school maps may be requested in both the Main Office and Counselor's Office. If you are unable to attend conferences, please check your student’s progress on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. For any questions, please contact your student’s teachers for support.
Reminder: The Dungeons and Dragons Club will meet on Monday, March 21st after school in the library. New players are always welcome! Hope to see you there!
All female students who are no longer in a PE class nor in a spring sport must remove their belongings from their PE locker and turn in their lock by Wednesday, March 23rd. Failure to turn in your lock will result in a $5.00 replacement fine. If you ARE still in a PE class or spring sport and will be keeping your lock this term, please make sure your name is checked off on the sheet in Ms. Cepel’s office.
Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) – The Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) is awarded annually to a current sophomore or junior in the high school who have demonstrated leadership in school, community or place of worship. As a RYLA recipient, the students attend an all expenses paid, five-night conference (July 12 – July 17, 2022) in the beautiful Nebraska National Forest near Halsey, Nebraska, about 80 miles north of North Platte. This camp brings together a special group of young men and women to share ideas about becoming better leaders. Applications can be found at https://greatplainsryla.org/apply and must be submitted on-line no later than March 31, 2022. See Mrs. Horne in the Counselor's Office for more information.
Undergraduate Awards Night will be held Wednesday, April 27th. A list of qualifying students has been posted on the bulletin board next to the Counselor's Office. Please check to see if you qualify. If you have any questions or don't see your name on the list and you think it should be please see Mrs. Schumacher in the Counselor's Office as soon as possible.
Attention Seniors: If you have received a scholarship or award, and would like it recognized at Senior Awards Night on Wednesday, April 20th and printed in the commencement program, please email or bring a copy of your notification to Mrs. Schumacher in the Counselor's Office by Friday, April 8th. (All scholarships can be turned in for recognition even if you don't plan on attending the college that awarded the scholarship but grants or loans will be included.)
