Attention artists: If you have any artwork you would like to put on display during Sweet Affair of the Arts, please bring it to Mrs. DeVoe or Mrs. Mason before 3 pm on Tuesday, Feb. 15th.


All boys interested in playing golf.....there will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 16th  @ 2:30pm in the Career Center.  Please contact Coach Kaminski if you cannot attend.



Guest forms for MORP will be available from Mrs. Persinger in the Main Office beginning Monday, Feb. 14th through Monday Feb. 28th.  All completed forms are due back no later than 4 o'clock on Tues. March 1st.  Please remember that even mid-year grads will need to be invited by a current student and complete a guest form.  The dance is Friday, March 4th @ 8 PM - and all tickets will be purchased at the door for $5.00 


Tamina Hartman and Sandra Mejia are organizing a trip to Europe in June 2023.  We will travel throughout various parts of France and Spain.  This is a great opportunity to see new places and practice speaking another language!  There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, March 16th at 6:30pm in room 2308 at the high school.  If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Hartman or Mejia.


We are having a SkillsUSA Meeting on Thursday, March 17th in the electricity lab.  We will talk about the upcoming State Leadership conference, Make sure of the contest you want to compete in, what you will need for it and how much you need to pay for registration, hotel room etc.  Please make arrangements to attend this meeting.  I look forward to seeing everyone and have a GREAT day!  This will replace the Feb. 24th meeting.


Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA)  – The Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) is awarded annually to a current sophomore or junior in the high school who have demonstrated leadership in school, community or place of worship.  As a RYLA recipient, the students attend an all expenses paid, five-night conference (July 12 – July 17, 2022) in the beautiful Nebraska National Forest near Halsey, Nebraska, about 80 miles north of North Platte.  This camp brings together a special group of young men and women to share ideas about becoming better leaders.   Applications can be found at  https://greatplainsryla.org/apply  and must be submitted on-line no later than March 31, 2022.  See Mrs. Horne in the Counselor's Office for more information.


The World Language Department is proud to announce a new language offering of French, levels 1 and 2, for next year; the 2022-2023 school year.  Please see your counselor if you are interested.


Interested in attending a college presentation?  See Mrs. Schumacher in the Counselor's Office to sign up!  Representatives will be visiting North Platte High School Career Center on the following dates:    University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) - Wednesday, Feb. 16th @ 1:15pm, University of Nebraska at Lincoln (UNL) - Tuesday, Feb. 22nd @ 10:30am and University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) - Monday, March 28th @ 9:30am
