E Sports will be having their first practice on Monday, February 7th at 3:30pm. If you are interested in playing Mario Kart, Smash Ultimate or Rocket League come stop by room 1204 and see what E Sports is all about. If you have any questions contact Mrs. McBeain.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet Wednesday, Feb. 9th at 8 pm in the Dawg Pound. Come join us for fun games and engaging conversations.
The High School Support Group will meet Wednesday, Feb. 9th at 2:30pm in room 1205. This group is for any student struggling with unhealthy or violent relationships, violence at home or sexual assault and is open to grades 9 - 12 and all genders. Call the RDAP office at 532-0624for more information.
After a long hiatus, The North Platte High Student Council is sponsoring the annual Hug-A-Heart day on Monday, February 14th. This is a free event. Students will label, decorate, and wear a heart (provided) on Valentine’s Day. If your name or the person’s name you are wearing is drawn, you get a prize from the Career Center. The sign-up and decoration will take place during Bulldog Time.
The North Platte High Student Council is also hosting a Valentine’s Day fundraiser. For $1, Students can have a can of Crush soda delivered to someone who is “crushing it” or to someone you are "Soda-lighted to know”. Cans will be delivered on Monday, Feb. 14th during SECOND PERIOD. Order forms have been sent to your emails!
Tamina Hartman and Sandra Mejia are organizing a trip to Europe in June 2023. We will travel throughout various parts of France and Spain. This is a great opportunity to see new places and practice speaking another language! There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, March 16th at 6:30pm in room 2308 at the high school. Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) – The Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) is awarded annually to a current sophomore or junior in the high school who have demonstrated leadership in school, community or place of worship. As a RYLA recipient, the students attend an all expenses paid, five-night conference (July 12 – July 17, 2022) in the beautiful Nebraska National Forest near Halsey, Nebraska, about 80 miles north of North Platte. This camp brings together a special group of young men and women to share ideas about becoming better leaders.
