North Platte High School Daily Announcements for Thursday, April 23, 2026

  Are you interested in a career in sports medicine, and do you with to enhance your resume and acquire valuable experience? If so, consider applying for the 2026 sport medicine internship program here with Tom Ksiazek [shawzek]. For further details, please meet Tom in his office after school. HIs office is located between the two locker rooms. Ask an athlete and they can point you in the right direction if you have trouble.

We will be hosting the Spring Job Fair today, April 23rd from 10am - 12pm in the Dawg Pound.

1st Floor classes will attend the fair from 10am - 11am

2nd Floor classes will attend from 11am - 12pm

It is up to your teacher to give you permission to attend. If you car planning to attend, print copies of your resume, dress appropriately and come prepared. You will be making a first impression with employers and may be given the opportunity to interview during or after the event.  This is a great opportunity for you to meet with local employers and secure summer jobs. If you have any questions, stop in and see Mrs. Foster in the Counselors' Office.

Interested in running for a junior or senior class officer position for the 2026-2027 school year?  If so, stop by the Main Office to pick up an application.  If you have questions about what the position entails please ask Mrs. Persinger!  All applications will be due no later than Friday, April 24th. 

Voting will take place the week of April 27th.

NHS Members, we will have our April Meetings next week! The afternoon sessions will be after school on Wednesday in the Library and Thursday before school in the Career Center. There is a chance to win two $50 gift cards for attending the meeting. We will be voting on bylaw changes and giving you some information as we wrap up the year. Can't wait to see you there!

Calling all softball players, ladies interested in playing softball next fall please plan to attend a brief meeting after school Wednesday, April 29th. We will be going over summer weights, HS camp, Kids camp and more. See you there!

Attention Seniors: If you have received a scholarship or award, and would like it recognized at Senior Awards Night on Thursday, April 30th, please bring or email a copy of your notification to Mrs. Schumacher in the Counselor's Office.

Mid Plains Community College will be offering Drivers Education Classes May 22 - 29th during the day on the North Campus. For more information, call Mandy Brandes at 308-535-3678.

FBLA Announcement

Interested in leadership, competition, travel, and fun? Join FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America)!  There will be an informational meeting on May 11th at 4:00 PM in NPHS Room 1204 for any students interested in joining or learning more. All students are welcome to join FBLA for the 2026 - 2027 School year.  Come see how FBLA can help you build skills, make friends, and create opportunities for your future!

  If you are planning on participating in Marching Band next school year, please come down to the Band Room in 1611 and speak to Mr. Bradley or Mrs. Werkmeister as soon as you can.
