North Platte High School Daily Announcements for Wednesday, Nov. 5th
FBLA Meeting
We’re rebuilding our FBLA chapter and would love to have new members join! Even if you’ve missed earlier meetings, it’s not too late to get involved. Come connect with other students, build leadership and teamwork skills, and help us create a strong, active chapter this year.
Pie Fundraiser Delivery
It’s almost pie time! Those who ordered or sold pies will assist with distribution after school on November 10th.
The truck is expected to arrive around11:30 AM, and participating students will be dismissed from Block 2 at 11:20 AM to help unload and organize. Students will return to class by the beginning of Block 3.
Let’s make delivery day smooth, efficient, and fun—thank you for helping make this fundraiser a success!
FBLA Leadership Meeting
All FBLA leaders need to attend! We’ll cover upcoming events, fundraisers, and competition prep. Please be on time—there’s a lot to discuss before pie delivery!
FBLA Competitive Events Workshop
Competition season is coming! Join us to explore event options, plan projects, and get a head start toward success.
Chess Club – Mondays | 3:30–5:00 PM (Room 1204)
Make your move! Join Chess Club every Monday after school to test your strategy, sharpen your focus, and enjoy some friendly competition. Whether you’re a beginner or a grandmaster in training, everyone is welcome—just bring your best moves and have fun!
Adventure awaits in Room 1204! Gather your party every Tuesday after school for D&D—roll the dice, battle dragons, and create legendary stories together. No experience needed—just imagination, teamwork, and a sense of adventure!
The NPHS Canned Food Drive has started and will run through Friday, November 14th. This event brings in tens of thousands of food items for North Platte and Lincoln County food banks. These food items are made available to families in need here in our area.
The big reward will be a staggered dismissal of the classes on December 19th, the day before Christmas break. The class grade with the most points will have a noon dismissal on Friday, December 19th. The class grade with the second highest point total will be dismissed at 1:00 on that day. The class grade with the third highest point total will be dismissed at 2:00 on that day. The last place class grade will be in school until 3:25. So please encourage students to bring in items for the NPHS Canned Food Drive. Student Council members who are in your BDT will explain everything this Thursday to your students. If there are no Student Council members in your BDT, members will be stopping by on Friday, the 31st. A document is attached showing who is in your BDT and who will be coming on Friday.
Students will be bringing in their items and storing them in their bulldog time classrooms. So if you could please make an area for Canned Food Items, that would be awesome. We will try to have boxes delivered to each room, but because of prior events, the school is short on boxes. All items will be picked up by StuCo members on Nov. 14th. The winning bulldog time will get Casey's breakfast pizza.
Attention Seniors! Have you ordered your cap, gown and tassel for graduation yet? If not, orders are open at www.midwestgrads.com until Nov. 15th. Prices will go up after that time and availability will be limited after Jan. 1st. See Mrs. Schumacher if you have any questions!
