The Chess Club will meet today, March 5th in Mr. Seybold's Room 1205 right after school. Hope to see you there.






National Honor Society's annual blood drive will be tomorrow, March 6, in the small gym. If you plan to donate, drink a lot of water today and get a good night's rest. Tomorrow, please bring a photo ID and a list of medications you're currently taking. If you haven't yet signed up and would like to donate, see Mrs. Snively in room 1408.




Are you interested in the world of medicine? Do you like being around sports? If so, consider being a part of the sports medicine internship program here at school. Tom is currently taking applicants for the 2024-2025 school year. See Tom in his office between the locker rooms after school on any weekday for more information or send him an email. 




Cheer Try-Out Information

  • On Thursday, March 7th @ 6:00pm there will be a student/parent meeting for cheer in the NPHS Commons.  
  • On Monday, March 18th Tryout practices begin for cheer - Packets and eligibility items can be picked up from the Activities Office must be completed to attend practice.




There will be a Pacers Dance Team Informational Meeting on Thursday, April 4th at 6:30pm in the NPHS Library.  Try-Out Practices will start Monday, April 8th from 6:10am - 7:15am in the Main Gym with Try-Outs on Friday, April 12th at 4:30pm.







Sophomores & Juniors! Are you curious about what the University of Nebraska in Kearney has to offer? Do you want to check out their campus and see if UNK is the right fit for you? Come join us for a college visit on March 20th!  Sign up in the counseling office by March 12th.



Reminder:  Dual Credit representatives will be in the Counselor's Office Conference Room every Monday for the rest of the year from 8:00am - Noon.  Be sure to see them if you have any questions about your Dual Credit classes.   In addition to dual credit help, MPCC representatives can help you with general college advising such as seeing if your dual credit college credits transfer to in-state and out of state colleges, seeing if a college offers a program you are interested in, and more. 






Attention Seniors: If you have received a scholarship or award, and would like it recognized at Senior Awards Night on Tuesday, April 30th and printed in the commencement program e-mail your information to Mrs. Schumacher in the Counselor's Office.  All award and scholarship information needs to be turned in by Friday, April 19th.

Interested in attending a college presentation?  See Mrs. Schumacher in the Counselor's Office to sign up!  Representatives will be visiting the North Platte High School Career Center on the following dates:      University of Nebraska at Lincoln (UNL) - Tuesday, March 12th @ 9:30am, University of Nebraska @ Omaha (UNO) - Monday, March 25th @ 2:00pm and Wayne State College - Thursday, April 4th @ 10:30am
