Attention art students: If you signed up to go on our field trip to the PAC today, Feb. 15th, please head straight to Mrs. DeVoe or Mrs. Mason's room at the beginning of 2nd period.  Your teachers have been notified that you'll be gone that period.  Make sure to have your signed permission slip with you.



It's Red Out week.  Today, Feb. 15th, wear red; and tomorrow, Feb. 16th, wear pajamas. Let's raise funds for the American Heart Association and cheer on our Bulldogs at Thursday evening's basketball games.




Juniors! Are you a leader? Are you interested in government, politics, and good citizenship? Do you like to connect with other like-minded leaders? Girls' and Boys' State is an event just for YOU! Girls' and Boys' state takes place June 2-8 in Lincoln. If you would like to know more, please see Mrs. Quiroz in the counseling office. 





Sophomores! Are you interested in a career in Automotive, Diesel Tech, Construction, Welding, Accounting, Business, Dental Assisting, Nursing, or Paramedics? Are you interested in learning more about what your local college, Mid Plains Community College, has to offer? Join us for a college campus visit on Wednesday, February 28th! Sign up in the counseling office by Tuesday, February 20th.


There will be a meeting on Tuesday, February 20th immediately after school in room 2207 for all boys planning to try out for soccer this spring. The meeting is mandatory, tryout expectations and schedule will be discussed. If you are unable to attend, see Coach Whitney in room 2207 right away. Let's Go Dawgs!



Next week is National FFA Week and our FFA chapter will be celebrating schoolwide with theme days and Bulldog Time Trivia! Each day you dress up, you will have a chance to win a gift card to some your favorite restaurants in town. The themes are as follows:

  • Monday - Stationed by the Rising Sun (beach day)
  • Tuesday - Stationed by the Owl (dress up as or twin with your favorite teacher)
  • Wednesday - Stationed by the Ear of Corn (husker apparel)
  • Thursday - Stationed by the Flag (red, white and blue)
  • Friday - FFA Day (blue & gold)

We will also have a chapter meeting on Tuesday, February 20th, at 7:00pm in the ag room. Join us for a cornhole tournament!





Are you interested in traveling to Costa Rica in 2025? We will have an informational meeting for new travelers on Thursday, Feb. 22nd at 6:30pm in Mejia's room (2307). Scan the QR codes posted all around the school to RSVP. 





SWEET AFFAIR OF THE ARTS - Hey Bulldogs, are you interested in supporting your local fine arts friends??? Are you tired of the same old Middle School two-step, Griddy, or W-Step??? Come on out to the High School Commons on Tuesday, February 27th, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and see some live performances, student art, purchase student made crafts, and sample some dessert! NEW this year, students and parents are invited to join us from 7:00-8:00 PM as Robert and Christine Nelson lead a beginner Swing Dance class just in time for you to swing it up at the Sock Hop! There will be a $5 cover charge at the door and items for sale on sight. We hope to see you there!





Reminder:  Dual Credit representatives will be in the Counselor's Office Conference Room every Monday for the rest of the year from 8:00am - Noon.  Be sure to see them if you have any questions about your Dual Credit classes.   In addition to dual credit help, MPCC representatives can help you with general college advising such as seeing if your dual credit college credits transfer to in-state and out of state colleges, seeing if a college offers a program you are interested in, and more. 




 Sock Hop Dance will be held on Friday, March 1st from 8:00-11:00 PM

  • Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5.00 
  • Guest passed are now available from Mrs. Persinger in the Main Office. All fees and fines must be paid in order to pick up a form. 
  • Guest forms are due back no later than Wednesday, Feb. 28th @ 3:00 PM
