There will be an FFA meetingtomorrow, December 12th, at 7:00pm in the ag room. Make sure to bring a small gift for the white elephant gift exchange if you'd like to participate!






The Chess Club will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 12th in Mr. Seybold's Room 1205 right after school. Hope to see you there.






For those interested in playing girls tennis this spring we are going to have a brief sign-up  tomorrow, December 12th in Room 1309 after school. If you are unable to attend please email Mrs. Godfrey.





Come join Fellowship of Christian Athletes on Wednesday, Dec. 13th at 8:00 p.m. in the Dawg Pound for games, snacks and great conversation about motivation and goal setting.  Whether you are a team athlete or love to put in miles or weights by yourself, FCA has a place for you!




FCS Club will be having a Rockin' Christmas Party on Dec. 18th at 6:30 pm in room 2403. Ask Mrs. Odle, or look for flyers in the hall for more details. 






Bulldog Productions is hosting a screenwriting competition open to all students. Any student may submit a script for a short film.  The top script will win 50 dollars.  Scripts must be less than 20 minutes and producible by our film program.   Top scripts will be produced during term 3 with your name on the writing credit.   Not sure how to write a script?  Short story format with dialogue will also be accepted.  All entries are due by Wednesday, December 20th.  Email entries to Mr. Willey.   See Mr. Willey for details. 



                                 

Are you taking a Dual Credit class next semester (January-May)??

You MUST register with MPCC to get your college credits! A representative from MPCC will be in the Counseling Office Monday, Dec. 11th  - Friday, Dec. 15th from 8 am - 4 pm to help you get registered and/or applied for your Spring Dual Credit classes. Make sure you stop by so you can be ready for the 2nd semester!

  • The North Platte Community College Foundation has a Dual Credit/Early Entry scholarship for ANYONE taking a dual credit class in terms 3 and/or 4.
  • Come to the counseling office to pick up an application.
  • Return the application form to the counseling office by December 21st!



SENIORS, DON'T FORGET...

  • If you haven't done so already, please get your cap and gown ordered if you are going to participate in the commencement ceremony!!
  •  It is also time to check the spelling of your name that will be on your diploma.  Mrs. Schumacher has a list at her desk.  Stop into the Counselor's Office or email Mrs. Schumacher as soon as possible to do this.  Any name that is not checked and corrected  before diplomas are ordered in December will be replaced at your expense.
  • The local scholarships are still available!  Stop by the Counselor's Office to pick up the scholarship applications that you may qualify for. These scholarships are listed in your Post Planning Booklet and can also be found and printed from our high school webpage, NPHS Counselor's Corner. Completed scholarship applications are due to the Counselor's Office by Friday, Dec. 15th!
