  High School Announcements for Tuesday, Sept. 19th


There will be an informational meeting for Unified Bowling today, September 19th in room 1513/1514 at 3:35pm. Please see Coach Matuszczak if are going to be a part of the team, but unable to attend the meeting.




Auditions for this year's Competition One Act, Frankenstein, will be held today, September 19th and tomorrow, September 20th at 3:30 p.m. in the PAC.  Those interested in auditioning should stop by Mrs. McDaniel's room, 2408 to pick up an informational packet or look on the NPHS Theatre Classroom (code: bv7jwvs). Come explore your inner monster. 



Come join Fellowship of Christian Athletes tomorrow, Sept. 20th at 8:00 p.m. in the Dawg Pound for games, snacks and great conversation about motivation and goal setting.  Whether you are a team athlete or love to put in miles or weights by yourself, FCA has a place for you!




There will be a brief baseball meeting in the PAC tomorrow, September 20th  at 2:25pm.  This meeting is for those people interested in trying out for the first ever North Platte High School baseball team in the spring of 2024.  





Change Wars are now taking place and will end tomorrow, September 20th This year, Bulldog Time classes are competing against one another.  The top 3 BDT teachers will receive gift cards ($100 - 1st, $50 - 2nd, $25 - 3rd).  Breakfast Pizza will be provided for the top team, and both the 2nd and 3rd place teams will receive donuts for their classes.  Additionally, backyard BBQ tickets will be provided for everyone in the top 3 BDT teams.  Our school goal will be $5000 and 70% of the donations will be returned to NPHS to use for a project of choice.  So, bring your change and support your school!!  Good luck everyone!!!




Seniors! Did you miss a senior session?? Do you have questions about college and career planning or scholarships? Join us Thursday, September 21st during Bulldog Time to get your senior year information.




Attention students, parents and staff:  Please do not park in the area to the West and to the South of the Tennis courts after 3:30 on Thursday, September 21st.  We are going to need this space for Backyard BBQ on the 22nd.




If you are graduating early (in December) you MUST complete an Early Graduation Application! These applications can be picked up from your counselor in the School Counseling Office or you can find it in the Senior Google Classroom. You MUST complete the Early Graduation Application and turn it in to your counselor in order to be able to have the option of graduating early. Applications are due Friday, Sept. 29th. Come see us in the School Counseling Office if you have any questions.




ASVAB 2.jpeg Interested in taking the ASVAB Test on Tuesday, Oct. 3rd? The ASVAB Test is a career exploration test to find out what your great at!  This is a great FREE practice test for college SAT’s and gives you a great idea of possible career fields you could pursue after High School.  Sign up in the Counselor's Office or ask Mrs. Foster for more information.





The Homecoming Dance will be held on Friday, Oct. 6th after the football game. 

  • Guest forms will be available from Mrs. Persinger in the main office beginning Monday, Sept. 25th
  • All guest forms MUST be returned no later than Wednesday, Oct. 4th @ 12 Noon
  • Tickets will be $10.00
  • Remember -- ALL fees and fines, including lunch accounts, MUST be paid prior to purchasing a ticket or picking up a guest form


Seniors!!   Do you like to win free stuff?? Are you creative?? Then submit a design for the 2024 Senior Class T-Shirt!! We'll collect your designs and put them to a vote for the Senior class. The winning design will get the student a $25 gift card to the place of your choice! Designs can be emailed to Mrs. Quiroz. All design submissions need to be emailed by Oct. 12th.



Juniors & Seniors!  Are you interested in Auto Body, Auto Tech, Diesel Tech, Construction, Welding, Accounting, Business, Dental Assisting, Nursing, Paramedics? Are you interested in learning more about what your college, Mid Plains Community College, has to offer? Join us for a college campus visit on October 4th! Sign up in the counseling office by Sept. 28th.

Juniors & Seniors!  Are you curious about what the University of Nebraska in Kearney has to offer? Do you want to check out their campus and see if UNK is the right fit for you? Come join us for a college visit on October 11th! Sign up in the counseling office by Sept. 28th.


Interested in attending a college presentation?  See Mrs. Schumacher in the Counselor's Office to sign up!  Representatives will be visiting the North Platte High School Career Center on the following dates:     Nebraska Wesleyan University - Wednesday, Sept. 27th @ 11:30am and University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) - Monday, Oct. 2nd @ Noon
