Announcements for Thursday, May 4th


Attention Seniors don't forget to pick up your banners in the Activities office. 



If you received an invitation to Tuesday night’s Award Ceremony and could not attend, please stop into the Counselor’s Office to pick up your award packet as soon as possible.  Thank you!!


Intramural sand volleyball is taking place on Saturdays from 11am to 1 pm at the Rec Center. Sign ups are in the office and are first come first serve for the first 9 teams to enter. To sign up you will need 2 boys and 2 girls to a team.  Be ready to sign up for  May 6th.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO PICK UP YOUR CHILD’S MEDICATION...  All medications, including inhalers, & epipens that have been brought to school during this school year must be picked up by a parent/guardian no later than 12pm  on Tuesday, May 23rd.   (They can be picked up ahead of this day/time too.)  Medications that have not been picked up by the last day of school will be destroyed.  The school is not allowed to store medications over the summer.  Medications will not be sent home with students.

  

Are you interested in a profession in the world of sports medicine? If you are or just want some more information stop in the athletic training room after school and talk to Tom about the internship opportunity for next school year. There are Fall, winter, and spring positions available. The athletic training room is located between the boys and girls locker rooms. If you have trouble finding it, ask an athlete or coach and they will be able to show you.


The director of the Children’s Museum is looking for students who are wanting  a summer job.  If you are interested please reach out to Mrs. Odle for contact information.

Are you interested in a Summer Internship with the railroad?? Will you be 15 or older by the end of May?   The Union Pacific Railroad is offering the Union Pacific Bailey Yard Mechanical Shop internship opportunity!   This internship is a paid position and will require ~30 hours of commitment where you will learn mechanical work, including shadowing the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical components on a locomotive/railcar.   If you are interested in hearing more, please sign up in the counseling department to visit with a UP employee the week of May 15th.
