To help you prepare for the OPEN house and for the school year, please familiarize yourself with the return to school plan that was approved by the school board on Monday, August 9th, The Return to School plan is posted @nppsd.org. Here are some of the essential details to be familiar with: Staff: For buildings that self-report, an employee vaccination registry of 70% or higher masking will be optional for all students and staff. For buildings with less than a 70% self-reported registry, fully vaccinated staff, face coverings are OPTIONAL. For staff who are not fully vaccinated, face coverings are REQUIRED. Students: For students who are fully vaccinated, face coverings are OPTIONAL. For students who are not fully vaccinated, face coverings are STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. Volunteers, Visitors, and Families at School During Regular School hours (including Kids Klub hours): Volunteers, visitors, and families are welcome in our school buildings as long as they wear a face covering at all times. For volunteers, visitors, and families who are fully vaccinated, face-coverings are REQUIRED. At this time, visitors are not permitted to eat lunch in the cafeteria and no outside fast food deliveries will be permitted. Events Outside of Regular School Hours: For volunteers, visitors, and families who are fully vaccinated, face-coverings are OPTIONAL. For volunteers, visitors, and families who are not fully vaccinated, face-coverings are REQUIRED. We will follow NSAA guidance for sanctioned events.

Good evening Mustang families.This is Mrs.Flanders, Principal of McDonald Elementary. Welcome back to school. Please Mark your calendars this Thursday for our Open house from 6-7 p.m.. KG families , in addition to the 6-7 open house, we invite you to attend our parent meeting in the library at 5:30 p.m. The first day of school is Monday, August 16th for all 1st -5th graders. Kg families - remember that we have Project Kg the first part of the week and your child has a specially assigned day. Tell our students to be watching for a letter from their teacher due to arrive in the mail prior to open house. Have a great evening and we look forward to seeing everyone thursday at open house.
