Mrs. Rowley's class compared strengths and weaknesses of multiple design solutions. Students had to go through the design process to build a tower out of spaghetti noodles to hold marshmallows on top. There was a lot of creative ideas!

Today got a little spooky 👻 in Ms. B's 5th grade math with a flashlight decimal multiplication review.

So thankful to have these two as part of our school family. So much pride in all that they do!
They make McDonald "spotless."

One more week! Fundraiser packets are due this Friday!

The 2nd graders learned about Ancient Greek and the Olympic Games this past week. On Friday, we had our own Olympic Games! Students made flags and torches for their teams. They participated in 5 events; trivia, long jump, relay, football toss, and 3 legged race. They all showed great sportsmanship! 🥇

Today in 5th grade we had an academic tournament to review the Math, ELA, and Science skills we have been working lately. The students worked hard and even brought home some medals! I'm so glad I get to be with these kids everyday!

Yesterday in our ELA unit, we learned that the ancient Greeks were the ones who contributed the Olympic Games to the rest of the world. So... what better way to put our learning into action than to have our own 2nd grade Olympic tournament? We made team flags, torches, and competed in four different games: the long jump, a relay, a three-legged race and a football toss! What an exciting way to end our week! 🥳

October Breakfast and Lunch Menu

Fundraiser packets are due next Friday, October 6th!

3rd, 4th and 5th grade HAL students discussed and experimented with Newton's Third Law of Motion today by creating paper rockets! Their challenge: creating a functional paper rocket, modifying their design to create more speed and distance as they go. These kids were amazing engineers today! When one trial failed, they persevered and kept trying until they were successful. Here are a couple of our rocket testers! Such a fun first day of HAL!

Our fundraiser kicks off today! Please check your child's backpack for more information!

Cheers to a LUXURY lunch on the stage !
