We track Monthly Absences for each grade- because showing up helps us all grow! We will recognize the grade level with the highest attendance percentage each month! Our goal for each student is 5 or fewer absences all year. 2nd grade was the winner for March!!

Kindergarten Round-Up at Lake was a huge success! 🐻✨ A bear hunt and fun picture opportunities to building first connections with our incoming Wildcats! A special highlight was a visit from the Lake Wildcat himself—bringing smiles and excitement to all! 🐾 We can’t wait to welcome our newest Wildcats this fall!

Bingo for Books was a huge success! 📚✨ Books were won, prizes were earned, and smiles were everywhere! 😊 Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it such a fun event!

Our Lake Students of the Quarter were announced today in front of their peers and families! 🎉 These outstanding students were nominated by their teachers for showing the qualities it takes to be a Lake Student of the Quarter — Respectful, Responsible, Kind, Hardworking, and always maintaining a Positive Attitude. We are so proud of each of them! 💙

Assembly Reveal! 🎭📚

Today we revealed our masked readers and finally shared our One School, One Book title — Wonder!

Students had so much fun trying to guess who was behind the masks, and the excitement grew when we announced the book. The best part? Every student is going home with their own copy so we can all read Wonder together! 💙

We can’t wait to begin this journey as a school and celebrate the message: Choose Kind.

Today, every student went home with a copy of Wonder as we begin this special reading journey together as a school community. We are so excited for our students and families to read along at home using the schedule (also printed on their personalized bookmarks!).

Our younger readers may need a grown-up or older sibling to help read each night — and we hope this becomes a meaningful time for connection and conversation about kindness, empathy, and courage.

Here at school, buddy classrooms will be coming together for activities connected to the book, building relationships across grade levels.

We can’t wait to experience this journey as ONE school family! 💙
