Looking for a place to recycle your old Christmas lights? We’ve got you covered! We are partnering with Keep North Platte Beautiful. You can drop them off at our school, and we will collect them from November 24th through January 31st.

🌟 Our HAL students had an amazing day at the Hastings Museum! They explored rocks and minerals, learned about space exploration, and enjoyed several hands-on learning experiences. Students toured the museum exhibits, participated in interactive stations, visited the planetarium, and even watched an IMAX movie! What a fun and educational adventure! 🚀🪨🎥

Friday your student may bring their costume to wear in the afternoon. The costume must be school-appropriate, no weapons, no blood (gore), and should be easy for students to put on themselves. We will start the Halloween Parade in the gym at 2:15- Families are welcome, and Halloween Parties will begin after at 2:30 in the classroom.

Our Lake Students of the Quarter were announced today during our assembly in front of their peers and families! 🎉 These outstanding students were nominated by their teachers for showing the qualities it takes to be a Lake Student of the Quarter — Respectful, Responsible, Kind, Hardworking, and always maintaining a Positive Attitude. We are so proud of each of them! 💙
🩺 A big thank you to Great Plains Health for partnering with us and connecting with our third graders! Our students have been learning all about the human body, and today they got to experience some amazing hands-on learning.
They explored topics like helmet safety, BE FAST (signs of a stroke), CPR, the heart and lungs, pupil dilation, and hand hygiene. 💪🫀🧠
We’re so grateful for this partnership and the opportunity for our students to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences! ❤️
