Homecoming Parade is tomorrow!! We can't wait to have you join us!

Mrs. Bodenus’ class went “coal mining” today using chocolate chip cookies and toothpicks! 🍪⛏️ We’ve been learning all about coal, where it comes from, and how it’s used in power plants to create energy. This hands-on activity helped us see just how challenging it can be to mine coal while also thinking about its impact on the world around us. ⚡️

Thank you NPPSF for the Popcorn as we celebrate earning the highest amounts for our Change Wars Challenge!! #JeffersonJaguars

Mrs. Bodenus’ 4th graders lit up the classroom by building electric circuits to explore how energy works! 💡🔋⚡

Mrs. Bodenus’ class celebrated Constitution Day by writing our very own class constitution, creating quill pens, and signing our names just like the Founding Fathers!

Our 4th graders have been reading Small Steps by Peg Kehret. To bring the story to life, we welcomed guest speaker Megan Dailey, who shared her grandmother Clare Mesmer’s inspiring story of living through polio.

In Small Steps by Peg Kehret, a simple milkshake played a big role in saving Peg’s life during her battle with polio. Our 4th graders connected with this part of the story by making their own milkshakes in class! We also had the privilege of watching a video from local polio survivor Irene Gamble, who shared her powerful story of resilience and hope.

We have two more VIP students today Reebha, 5th grade, she is a great friend, is very polite, and works hard in class. Our second VIP is Cameron, 1st grade, he is kind and a great example for his classmates

Change Wars start Wednesday, September 10th and end on September 17th We will be participating in NPHS Homecoming Parade on Wednesday, September 10th. More details coming for Parade - Save the Date!

Arianna and Jaxon got the VIP award from Ms Hicken today. They are both safe, respectful, and responsible at school. Enjoy your VIP walk of fame #nppscanteenspirit #Jeffersonjaguars
