Brooklyn is our newest VIP. Ms Palacios said she is always doing the right thing!!

Students in Mrs. DiGiovanni’s class celebrated our state’s birthday by learning about the first Nebraskans. These young artists created their own shields after learning more about the Native Americans who lived here before us.

We loved welcoming our AG pen pal, David Grimes from Minden, NE, to our classroom today! It was so special to finally meet in person and learn even more about agriculture from someone who’s been writing to us all year. 🌾🚜

Celebrating the birthday of Nebraska (chatgpt://generic-entity?number=0) a little early by getting our hands dirty! 🌽🎉 Mrs.Bodenus’ 4th graders mixed up their own “Nebraska soil” and dug into the science behind what makes our state so great! ❤️🌎 #NebraskaProud

🌍 Field Trip Fun!
Mrs. Bodenus’ geologists are on the move again! Their class took a field trip to Jefferson’s Engagement Lab where students created hands-on models of Earth’s layers. Through exploration and creativity, they learned about the crust, mantle, and cores while bringing their geology unit to life!

Jefferson VIP's!!!
Ryan earned VIP for being kind, helpful, and responsible!
Emilio earned VIP for being respectful and hard working!
Joscelyn earned VIP for being responsible and kind!

4th grade geologists have been hard at work! Students in Mrs. Bodenus’ class crushed Jolly Ranchers into sediments and applied pressure overnight to model how sedimentary rocks form. Science never tasted so fun! 🪨🍬

Mrs. Bodenus’s class is getting hands-on with science! 💧🧊 We explored weathering and erosion by using water droppers and sugar cubes to see how water can slowly change land over time. Learning is sweeter when you can see it happen! 🌍✨
