Madison Middle School | Math
My name is Lane Swedberg. I was born and raised just 30 minutes outside of North Platte on a small family farm. I graduated from Wallace High School in 2011 and then continued my education at Chadron State College. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Middle School Education with Field Endorsements in both Math and Science.
This is my third year as a teacher here in North Platte. I teach 6th grade math at Madison Middle School, coach middle school football and basketball at Adams Middle School, and coach the Long Jump and Triple Jump for North Platte High School. So far, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in the North Platte School District. I have grown tremendously as an educator and as a coach, and I look forward to the many opportunities that lie in my future.
One of the main reasons I chose to go into education was because I wanted to make an impact on our next generation. I have a passion for teaching/learning and doing my part to make our children educated, contributing members of society. As a coach, I get to interact with the students on a more personal level. I get to see student athletes improve, and work hard to get better every single day. I truly believe that being a teacher and coach is the most rewarding career out there.
