McDonald Elementary | 4th Grade
My name is Kelsey Cahill. I was born and raised in North Platte and graduated from North Platte High School. I have always had a passion for helping others, and I want to make a difference. After high school, I attended Mid Plains Community College where I received an Associates of Arts Degree. From there I went on to Chadron State College where I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Education. During my time in college I was a paraprofessional for the district at Jefferson Elementary School. I currently teach 4th grade at McDonald Elementary. I believe teaching is my calling and that relationships are one of the most important parts of my job.
I have been married to my husband, Bobby, since 2015. He teaches business and computer science at Brady Public Schools. We one son, Logan, who is one and a half years old. We have one dog and a cat that are rescues. When not at school I enjoy walking with my dog and son, and spending time with my family.
My roots in North Platte run very deep. My family has owned Beveridge Well Drilling in town since 1915. My dad, brother, grandpa, and uncle all work for our family business. My mom has worked for Great Plains Health for 25 years, and is the Chief Quality Officer. I believe that North Platte is a great community to raise a family in and I am very fortunate that my family also calls it home.
