Jefferson Elementary | Second Grade
Hi! My name is Jennifer Paul and I am a kindergarten teacher at Jefferson Elementary. I have been teaching kindergarten for 5 years at Jefferson. Before this I taught preschool at both Jefferson and Head Start for a total of 11 years. After graduating from North Platte High School, I attended and graduated from Mid-Plains Community College. I then moved to Kearney and attended UNK where I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in elementary education with an endorsement in early childhood. Within the past few years I have furthered my love and believe in early learning by going back to school and obtaining a Masters in early childhood education.
My husband Steve and I have been married for 13 years and have 2 wonderful daughters, Aarelyn and Bethany. We are kept busy in dance, gymnastics, church, Girl Scouts, and soccer and though we are busy, we wouldn’t trade it for anything! As a family we also enjoy camping, kayaking, and traveling.
Educational success for me is more than learning academics, but about becoming a person of good character and I hope to display what that looks like to my students and all those that I work with. I believe that being a teacher is more than a job, more than a profession. It is an opportunity. It is an opportunity for me to give back to my community, to give back what I received as a student, and most importantly it is an opportunity to serve in the area that God has called me for.
