Adams Middle School | History
Hi, my name is Kylie Wroot and I am originally from North Platte. I went through the North Platte Public School system, kindergarten through senior year and know the district well as both my brothers and parents graduated from North Platte High School and then my mom taught art in the district for 35 years before retiring. I first attended McDonald Elementary, then Adams Middle School, and finally at NPHS where I graduated in 2013. I then attended North Platte Community College for two years where I obtained an associates of science and an associates of arts degrees while playing volleyball. I transferred to York College where I continued my volleyball career and earned a bachelor's of arts in secondary education emphasis in history. After graduating in December 2017, I stayed in York as the assistant volleyball coach at the college and was a substitute teacher in the area.
I have many interests and hobbies some which include music, art, sports, hunting & fishing, gardening, and most of all, travelling. I have traveled to several places across the United States and just returned from a six week mission trip to Athens, Greece, where we spent most of our time teaching English. It was an amazing experience where I had gone to teach, but probably learned more than I taught and created relationships that will last a lifetime. I am so excited to return to North Platte to learn and grow more with the faculty, staff, and students of Adams while teaching 7th grade American history!
