COVID-19 Remote Learning Plan
Attached you will find the remote learning plan for elementary students. This plan, along with the secondary education plans can also be found on our district website at this link: http://www.nppsd.org/
All teachers will be making phone calls to the families in their classrooms to follow up with this plan. If your child receives special education services, you will also be hearing from your case manager regarding those services.
The idea of remote learning can be exciting and/or frightening to you. We understand both of these feelings, and are here to support you. The NPPSD plan is meant to be simple and doable for all students. The best way we can meet your child's individual needs is through the program called Pathblazer. Spending a considerable amount of time on this program is highly encouraged to keep students working at their level, however we understand that not everyone has access to appropriate technology. That is why we will also have packets put together for every grade level, starting March 30th from 10:00-2:00 at each elementary school building for pickup. These will be right outside the front doors. Even if you do have technology, feel free to come get packets of work.
If you are wanting more to do with your child, there is a plethora of resources on the web for families wanting to engage in homeschool like activities. A few of them are linked to our remote learning plan. Our district also has a page called Destiny with many online resources for students:
Many of you also have questions about your student's belongings still at school. We plan to make arrangements more into May for them to pick up these items, and to work with you to get your child's library books back to our school library. . If there is something urgent that they need please email me. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
We would encourage you to follow our Facebook page. We will be doing Daily Announcements. We want to continue our connections with Cody students and families. Make sure you are on mute for sound but allow the video to be unmuted so we can see you!. We will be asking one student/ family to say the pledge each day. I will be in contact the day before.
We are asking that families contact Dr. Eshleman if they have questions. (firstname.lastname@example.org) If you have classroom questions, you can contact the teacher. We both have login and password information.Default Hyperlink TextDefault Hyperlink Text
