Buffalo Elementary | Special Education

My name is Tracey Kearney.  I am originally from the North Platte area, having graduated from Maxwell High School in Maxwell, Nebraska. I received my Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with endorsements in Elementary and Secondary Special Education.

I am married to Treg Kearney who is a conductor for Union Pacific Railroad.  We have three daughters; two, who are currently attending North Platte Public schools, and our oldest, who graduated from North Platte High School and is pursuing a degree in Education from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.

I am a Special Education Teacher at Buffalo Elementary.  Before coming to Buffalo, I was a high school resource teacher in Hershey, Nebraska.  My first teaching position was as Title 1 teacher at Sumner-Eddyville-Miller Schools in Sumner, Nebraska. In between, I  worked as a Pre-school teacher and Guidance Associate in Iowa, as well as many other positions outside the field of education.

At Buffalo Elementary we believe that all students can learn and grow in a supportive caring environment.
