Washington Elementary | Title I
My name is Julie Kinnaman and I grew up outside Arcadia, Nebraska. I attended Loup City Public Schools. I have lived in Kansas, Wyoming, South Dakota, and all over Colorado. I received a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado.
Prior to becoming the Title One teacher at Washington Elementary, I was the third grade teacher, a looping teacher (grades 2 to 3), and a second grade teacher all at Washington School.
I believe teaching should be engaging, challenging, relevant, and fun. I believe every child can learn and my goal is to help them find the strategies that help them be a successful learner. I try to create an environment where students feel safe and respected.
In my free time, enjoy riding my motorcycle and finding new places to explore. I also love gardening and remodeling houses. I have two children: Pete Kinnaman and Jessica Striker.
