North Platte High School | Assistant Principal
My name is Nick Miller, and I am entering my first year as an Assistant Principal at North Platte High School. I’m honored and excited to serve in the North Platte Public School District, and work directly with students, parents and staff each day. Prior to this school year, I served as a Physical Education/Social Studies teacher at Gothenburg Jr.-Sr. High School. I’ve also spent time working at Boys Town as a Youth Care Worker.
My education experience includes a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with a minor in Education. Following UNL, I earned my teaching endorsement, along with a Master’s in Educational Leadership, from Dordt University in Sioux Center, IA. I am a 2006 graduate of Milford Jr.-Sr. High School in Milford, NE. My wife Maggie and I have been married for 2 years. She is entering her 6th year in education, currently teaching Spanish at Gothenburg High School.
I’m extremely passionate about finding ways to celebrate the positive things happening every day in a school building, as well as helping develop creative and collaborative ways to grow and improve. My hope is always to be a positive resource for staff and students at North Platte High School. Go Bulldogs!
