The technical classes I teach are: Auto 1, Auto 2, Auto 3, and Auto 4. My time is also spent enjoying and supervising tomorrow’s workforce today in SkillsUSA.
Our mission at North Platte High School is to ensure that students acquire the knowledge and skills that will prepare them for post-secondary education and their entry into the workplace. The program focuses on education that offers students the opportunities to learn the knowledge, applications, and attitudes to consumers, and effective workers.
As a SkillsUSA advisor, I help students prepare for state and national competition. Students in this activity learn to organize their lives, accept roles, appreciate others for the roles they play, and to establish and pursue goals. Being a part of the is activity is a privilege and a learning experience. It is important that our students take pride not only in their activity, but also in academics and understanding the importance of continuing their education.
