North Platte High School | Math
My name is Emily Hasenauer, I am from North Platte, Nebraska where I graduated high school in 2002. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education as well as my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics in 2006 from Midland Lutheran College, now Midland University. I have been teaching at NPHS since January 2011, perviously I tought for 2 ½ years at South Sioux City High School and 1 year at Norris Middle School in Omaha, Nebraska. My husband Josh works at FedEx Freight, we have two children together.
At NPHS I teach an array of Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. The mission of our school is to prepare students to be career and college-ready, and my courses prepare those looking to go on to study at the collegiate level, as well as those entering the workforce to be successful in math. I love mathematics and plan to get my masters in the near future.
My goal as a teacher is to help young students become productive citizens by learning the importance of responsibility, family, and respect for others.
