North Platte High School | World Language
My name is Tamina Hartman. I grew up on a ranch outside of North Platte and graduated from North Platte High School in 1999. I graduated summa cumme laude from the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK), receiving my Bachelor’s degree with a major in Spanish and a minor in French. I later received a Master’s in Christian Counseling Psychology from the Pillsbury Institute.
After graduation, I worked as a housing director. Although that was exciting work, I really wanted to try teaching. I worked at Cedar Bluffs Public Schools while I received my teaching certificate through UNK. After teaching K-12 Spanish for three years, my husband, Jereme, and I decided to move our young family to Boys Town, where we were Family Teachers for five years. There, we raised our two sons, Keagan and Brody until they were both in school.
I am now a Spanish teacher at North Platte High School. Jereme is a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones, and Brody and Keagan attend Washington Elementary School. Our Spanish program focuses on not only mastery of the Spanish language and culture, but also the skills needed to be successful beyond high school.
