McDonald Elementary School | 5th Grade
My name is Samantha Brennan. I am originally from Sutherland, Nebraska and graduated in 2006. From there I went to the University of Nebraska-Kearney where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Unified. After graduating from UNK I began working as a 4th grade teacher at Newell Elementary in Grand Island, Nebraska, where I worked for 7 years. During my time in Grand Island I received my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction through Doane University.
I am married to Nick Brennan and we have soon to be three children, Noah (4), Hannah (2), and a new baby girl due in mid-September. My favorite things to do are spending time with family, reading, cooking, spending time outside, and any kind of craft when I have time.
I am a new 5th grade teacher at McDonald Elementary and this will be my 8th year of teaching. I am so excited to help students transition into middle school. I believe that every child has the ability to learn and be successful, and in my classroom we focus not only on academics, but also on developing respectful, responsible, honest, and kind achievers.
