McDonald Elementary School | 2nd Grade
Hello! My name is Haley Bainter, and I am very excited to be starting my second year of teaching! Last year I taught 2nd Grade at McDonald Elementary, and am greatly looking forward to continuing to be a McDonald Mustang and work in such a great environment. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a Bachelors of Arts in Education including an endorsement in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education in May of 2017. 2 months later, I married my Kansas born-and-raised husband Troy, and we moved to North Platte!
My family is the number one priority in my life. My husband Troy works as a Bridge Superintendent for Simon – a construction company based in North Platte, NE – and together we have two female dogs named Maizey and Riley. We love our country home north of town, and our dogs definitely keep us laughing and on our toes! The rest of my immediate family lives in Colorado and includes my wonderful mom and dad, older sister Shelby and her husband Jesse, and my identical twin sister Kylee and her husband Zach.
Although I was born on a tiny farm in small-town Central Nebraska to my mom and dad who both were Nebraska farm kids, my family has lived in Colorado since I was 2 years old. I grew up in Johnstown, CO where I was very active in academics, athletics, and clubs throughout my life. During that time, my dream was always to be a teacher and to try my best to someday become one. I believe that every student can succeed, and that students learn best in environments where they feel comfortable in. I am living my dream, and I love what I do!
